Our Story

Sarala Narayan Trust was founded with a simple yet profound vision: to transform recognition into responsibility and achievement into service.

The inspiration behind the Trust came from the life and values of Dr. Vishnu Saxena, an eminent Hindi poet and litterateur. When he was honored with the prestigious Yash Bharti Award, one of the highest civilian honors conferred by the Government of Uttar Pradesh, he made a remarkable decision. Instead of treating the award as a personal achievement, he chose to dedicate the award amount to the service of society.

Driven by his commitment to literature, education, and social welfare, Dr. Saxena established the Trust in loving memory of his parents, Late Smt. Sarala Devi and Late Shri Narayan Prakash Saxena, whose values of compassion, integrity, and service continue to guide its mission.

What began as an effort to promote and support Hindi language, literature, and poets has gradually evolved into a broader movement for social development. Today, the Trust works across multiple areas, including the encouragement of literary talent, educational support for underprivileged children, and various community welfare initiatives.

At Sarala Narayan Trust, we believe that meaningful change begins with small acts of kindness, knowledge, and cultural preservation. Through our initiatives, we strive to nurture young minds, honor literary excellence, and contribute to building a more compassionate and empowered society.

सरला नारायण ट्रस्ट की स्थापना एक ऐसे विचार से हुई, जिसमें सम्मान को उत्तरदायित्व और उपलब्धि को समाज सेवा का माध्यम बनाया गया।

इस ट्रस्ट की प्रेरणा प्रख्यात हिन्दी कवि एवं साहित्यकार डॉ. विष्णु सक्सेना के जीवन-दर्शन से प्राप्त हुई। जब उन्हें उत्तर प्रदेश सरकार द्वारा प्रदान किया जाने वाला प्रतिष्ठित ‘यश भारती सम्मान’ प्राप्त हुआ, तब उन्होंने इस सम्मान को केवल अपनी व्यक्तिगत उपलब्धि तक सीमित न रखते हुए उससे प्राप्त राशि को समाजहित में समर्पित करने का निर्णय लिया।

हिन्दी भाषा, साहित्य और समाज सेवा के प्रति अपनी प्रतिबद्धता को आगे बढ़ाते हुए उन्होंने अपने पूज्य माता-पिता, स्वर्गीय श्रीमती सरला देवी  एवं  स्वर्गीय श्री नारायण प्रकाश सक्सेना की स्मृति में सरला नारायण ट्रस्ट की स्थापना की। उनके संस्कार, सेवा-भाव और मानवीय मूल्यों ने ही इस संस्था की नींव को मजबूत बनाया है।

आरम्भ में ट्रस्ट का उद्देश्य हिन्दी साहित्य, कवियों और साहित्यिक प्रतिभाओं के संरक्षण एवं प्रोत्साहन तक सीमित था, किन्तु समय के साथ इसका कार्यक्षेत्र विस्तृत होता गया। आज ट्रस्ट वंचित एवं जरूरतमंद बच्चों की शिक्षा, सामाजिक कल्याण, सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण तथा साहित्यिक प्रतिभाओं के सम्मान एवं प्रोत्साहन के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय रूप से कार्य कर रहा है।

सरला नारायण ट्रस्ट का विश्वास है कि समाज में सकारात्मक परिवर्तन शिक्षा, संस्कृति और सेवा के माध्यम से संभव है। इसी विश्वास के साथ हम नई पीढ़ी को अवसर प्रदान करने, साहित्यिक विरासत को सहेजने और मानवता की सेवा के लिए निरंतर प्रयासरत हैं।
